Hallelujah Chorus

What a joy in singing Hallelujah chorus composed by Handel
The goosebumps in the flesh
The pride filled faces while singing
The different parts entry of the choral music
The smile in our faces
The tension of hitting the higher notes
The last four strong " Hallelujah's"
AND
Hundreds of voices, yet it sounds one.

How united we are when we sing this Chorus!

Miss you, MCC choir!

Handel, What a Composition!

Bishop Heber Chapel, Christmas Service!

One of the most wonderful chapels,
The peace and joy it passes on when stepped in,
Always crowded by the students, higher officials.....And,
The most vibrant "Bishop Heber Chapel Choir".

It's one awesome feel to enjoy Christmas season in campus.

The traditional Hodea song which takes the breath for a moment,
The sacristan carrying the cross in the aisle of the chapel,
The choir's beautiful walk with white robes,
The pin drop silence in the Chapel,
Audience standing in and out wherever they find space,
The Bible reading of the General Secretaries of Hall,
The choir conductor and his tension filled face,
The strong bass, the highest vocal ranged sopranos and tenors, the harmony of Alto,
The songs rendered by the choir,
which narrates every reason for the season,
The candle light song sung in darkness, " Let all mortal flesh keep silence"
The sharing of smiles,
The beautiful white saree draped around girls and the robes of guys,
The big sigh of relief after Hallelujah Chorus,
The appreciations after the service, the fun, the time of sharing experiences, the tears,
the laughs, the smiles, the pictures, the hugs and the awesome dinner by the Heberians!

How much I'm blessed to be a part of all these?

These are all something, None on earth should ever miss!
MCC is something which I don't deserve,
Thank you Lord for taking me to places where I felt your presence! :)

P.S : I heard choir practices started a week ago and as I miss it, felt like writing one about the awesomeness it showered upon me. Sometimes words should be exaggerated more to give a stress to it! :)

The bright and morning star of the family

I have found a friend in my sister in law
She is the beautiful, most young pretty lady
She is a post graduate professional in Computers and Cooking too
She is young but she is matured at times
She is the youngest of mothers and can't believe the fact that she is a mother of two
She is a friend most of the times and enemy a very few times
She is the connector of the family
She is very systematic, stylish and a perfect married girl
Her make overs goes for hours together
She is fond of nail polish
She scolds me for my least bothering nature for make overs
She doesn't make wise decisions, I'm sure she is learning it now
She gets confused most of the times
She doesn't sleep much but she is active throughout the day
She loves her family and her kids mean her world
You can trust her for secrets, She can keep it with her for even hundred years
She extends her hands of help Everytime when I'm in need
It would be even words, and she does even that perfectly.
She knows how to shake her heads for her in -laws , the elderly ones
She used to be mad for hay day game
Not sure, If my brother deserve her, But I definitely deserve to have her in my life
And,
She has promised , she will help me in bringing me up my kids
That's the most wonderful part I like about her.

Dear Stefi,

You are the bright and morning star of the family and more brighter are your kids!
Wishing you a very happy birthday!
May the good God my Lord bless you abundantly
Have a blessed year ahead.

The Guru's of my life - Teachers

All of a sudden after 3 days of Teacher's day the love for teachers just overflows in me that I'm here to mention a few of them!

With 14+3+1+2 = 20 years of learning from various teachers, I have grown up as a wonderful human being with so many values inculcated in me.

Chandra Mam - My class teacher in 2nd & 3rd. A lean, fair and beautiful lady she is! I always have a second look for her hair do everyday.  E.N.G.L.I.S.H -The term, the language, or whatever you call it in your terms for it, It was first introduced to my by her. The way she pronounces, the ways she tried to introduce new new words everyday with some activity is still lingering in my ears. Discipline, prayer, Exercise, and every first thing I learnt from her. She along with Sister Vincenta encouraged me to act in a play of 3 hours as a small little girl who lost her dad in one, and flower girl in an other! And in both the plays, I played main role. In fact, It was like the kid heroine types! The appreciations I got, The hugs & kisses that were passed on still gives me a strong feeling happiness.

Now people find me as a daring and confident person all the time. I never had stage fear. I never had experienced the shaking of legs before presenting something. All credits goes to my mam Miss.Chandra & sis.Vincenta. Thank you mam, If you had not encouraged me, I wouldn't have been such a daring girl now. The appreciations I get, The prizes I received, The full marks I score in presentations, and every single recognition I got it's all because of you both! Thank you mam.

Sophia Mam - My English teacher & class teacher, 4th Standard. Every time she steps into my class, my rate of heart beat increases. She is very strict but more beautiful, with long hair, kaajal in her eyes, fair, and the way she speaks keeps my mouth open! Her lesson of parts of speech, grammar, articles, prepositions, conjunctions, whatever the basic classes I had for English, I still remember everything. And she laid the strong foundation of English in me. Mam, I'm ever thankful to you!

With that 4 years in a convent school, my learning of English had a full stop. The rest of the years I had to recollect whatever I learnt and I developed the passion for English by reading books and writing dairies. Because, After that I stepped in to Government State Board Schools for further classes.

Chelladurai Sir - My 5th Standard teacher. He is an old man who tries to speak English with his own terms & in his own ways. "The selfish giant", by Oscar Wild , the story which was well explained by him. I tried dancing for the first time in the annual day. He was someone who encourages friendship and Trust me I'm still in touch with almost all of them. And my first best friend ( boy ) is from 5th standard and we still love each other like we did 10 years ago! Blesson, you are remembered here. You will always be my best friend. Thank you sir for teaching me the value of friendship. You will be remembered as long as friendship survives is in this world!

Kalpana Mam - The pretty unmarried woman with chubby cheeks and dimple chin. With her short hair she tries to have a bun of it during working hours. She made lessons easy. And state board syllabus is much easy when compared to matriculation that time. She is more friendly and more active. She extends her arms whenever students are dull. She taught me to keep things safe cos I lost my purse in her class and got it back. My first girl friend is from her class. Aynesh. She is still the same, you believe it or not! You have a special place in my heart. Thank you mam for teaching me the value of warmth and the value of things. And, She is my 6th Standard class teacher.

Karpagam Mam - My social science teacher of 6th Standard. She is a very daring lady with good power in her voice. I remember having a problem with her in the answering papers and later got it solved. I remember crying standing in the entrance of my classroom! I did not get to spend so much time with her as she walks in only for 6 hours in a week to my class. Thank you mam for being an example of a woman with daring heart and a boomerang voice. I don't easily cry now.

Queen Mam - She is a queen for sure. Her lullaby voice, tirunelveli slang, big eyebrows and the style bun of her hair. She judges the whole class with questioning me and Aynesh. If we reply her, She thinks the whole class also have studied, If not, It's the other way round. We two were her pets. The way she calls me glady, I will be totally flat. She was pregnant that time and her long breath, little stomach, with everything she is an awesome woman. Mam, You are much into my heart and thank you for teaching me to be special to someone. I'm to so many now! Thank you mam from the bottom of my heart. She is 7th Standard Teacher

Thilaga Mam - The first day she entered the class, I started crying. She is tall, scary face, pimples here and there, different styles of blouses everyday and her intensity of pinches vary everyday. I remember she asking me why  we don't include "an" before "one". Her birthday is on september 8th. And myself and Aynesh presented her a gift , a very small one! She is someone who taught me how to work with deadlines and how to be strict when we want things to be done on time! She is my 8th Standard teacher. Thank you mam I'm not scared of you anymore.

Badmavathy mam - My 7th & 8th Social science Teacher. The most funniest teacher I ever had. Her classes I long for. Her lessons I like much. Social science classes have never bored me even though I study about Akbar, Shahjahan and few more. I hid myself behind the tall girls when we sit in the floor. She is a pretty old lady with a big bag. And she sleeps most of the time. I remember scoring centum twice. Thank you mam for teaching me how to be funny at times to get attracted.

Rajeswari mam - My maths teacher for 7th & 8th Standard. She is a jolly jolly teacher and the love for maths was just poured unto me by her teaching. She keeps singing songs most of the times. "Sirithu vaale vendum, pirar sirika vaalndhidaadhey" These types of old songs she sings to keep us happy. Knowingly or unknowingly music has become my passion and Thank you mam for planting the seed in me.

Shanthi Mam – My tamil teacher for 7th & 8th standard. She doesn’t talk much in class. She comes takes class and leaves. She blinks her eyes a million times in a second. A very sincere lady whom I have never seen chatting around. Thank you mam for the seed of sincerity.

Mary Mam - She is one of my best friend's mother. I used to call her aunty and was forced to call her mam during school hours. She is short, oiled hair bun and her major is History. Trust me, She knows how students will fall asleep during social sciences class when they hear about Akbar, Mourya and invasions. She skips everything. Before even starting the lesson, She will ask us to mark the answers for the questions given at the end of each lesson and then to continues to explain JUST the answer part. Mam, Thank you for not boring us. I learnt to be a short and sweet person. She is my 9th standard class teacher.

Bala Mam - My 9th and 10th Science teacher. I have never seen her smiling. The way she teaches science, you can never sleep. Not because it's interesting. But because she is strict and her voice tells it all. Lunch break, Tea break and every other breaks, She will be in class giving us work. Study hours is meant for her. No one can turn around. Her way of speaking tamil when she scolds, you just can't bare. She is fair and a committed lady. I scored high because of her in my board exam. She is much active from dawn till dusk. Mam, I'm much active most of the times because of your activeness! Thank you.

Geetha Mam - My 9th Maths teacher. Yellow turmeric powder manufacturers will be very happy if they get to see her. She is always yellow yellow in her face, tall and talks through her nose. I rarely understand her classes. But she is an expert in maths. Sometimes you can't cope up with genius. She is of that kind. Mam, I have always wanted to be an expert in at least one field ( Teaching ) and I'm definitely today because of you! A big thank you.

Jeya Mam - My 9th standard Tamil teacher. I learnt proper tamil pronounciation from her. She always looks at the ceiling and teach. Don't know why only! But She explains each and every cheiyil very interestingly. Now when I address people in a crowd, they find my Tamil very sharp and sizzling. It's all because of her. Thank you mam.

Muthupechi mam - My 10th standard class teacher. The class in which I did not have Aynesh with me. And it's all because of Mary mam who wanted me to be in Muthu mam's class. She is a very old, long thick hair, big glasses, drags her speech, eats snacks in classroom sometimes and her major is history. Everyday morning, as soon as she enters, before wishing, She ll ask us to recite the poem. I still remember, Two roads diverged by Robert Frost. She had focus in her class. She wanted everyone to score well. No partiality, nothing. Mam, Thank you for being an example of treating everyone equally. I'm trying it everyday.   I got 90+ in board exam because of you.

Poongodi mam - I don't remember much about her. She has parrot voice, short, fair, pukka soda potty glass. No one listens to her. But she is sweet. She finishes portion. She is liberal. Sometimes you need to be liberal and I learnt it from you. Mam, Thank you.

Krishna Leela mam - She and her tamil classes. Chance less. She was my 11th Standard class teacher. She is bit fat, dragging tamil and keeech voice. She used to be so funny in her talks. She doesn't punish anyone. Thank you mam for being a wonderful human being and I'm taking steps for that everyday. Hope I will be someday.

I'm proud to be a hippie from MCC !

I just couldn't believe the fact that I have completed 5 months without the woods. The most happiest place I ever long to stay. The feeling of togetherness, the good people I met, yummy ice creams, tasty mushroom soups, the never ending choir practices, Christmas celebrations, Elections, the dominating post, General body meetings, Room no 84 A, The pond, Hall song, Events of the Hall and Hall day visits, the traditions, the inductions, the long roads, boring mess, the lawn, short trousers and what not! Mcc you are much missed in my life! One wish If God grants me, I wish it should be the life back in MCC.

Pradeep, One of my best friend whom I really missed much in the last few months of college. Remembering the times, visiting hospital every now and then, just to spend time with him. I really couldn't see him with the dialysis process. He was always the one who kept me safe in class, fights for me with others and an awesome guitarist. He is a man of humility. God will bless you Pradeep da and I really wish that our friendship continues forever.:)

Gauri and her bum shorts! Girlie, you just can't imagine how much I miss your presence with me in the evenings. " you and your candy crush", "Glady, I'm going"! The favourite dialogues of yours every time when you visit my room! I so much love you. You are one of the cutest girls I have ever met.

Darling, How could I forget you when you and Angel have taught me so many "must know" things. * March 25* I must say, If this girl had not been there with me I would not have had a good stay in Martin. She was always there whenever needed. thank you darling for the ice tea, coffee, tea, pappad, ear buds, clips, toothpaste and every little things! I miss you more everyday! You are remembered whenever I search for something. you are awesome!

The little sisters of mine, Ambika, Elma, Pooja! No roomies will be like them. More love, more adjustments, more silence, more naughtiness and everything just overflows in them. Miss your screams, the tune of malayalam and the pretending to be silent effects if I'm there in the room! Miss you much!

Angel, Sharon, Nivi, Negina, I'm missing the never ending talks with you girls!

The most vibrant choir of MCC , I miss more. The mission trip, the special lunches, the fights and everything else! The wonderful department mates who were always there when things went upside down. I will be ever grateful to each one of you!

Thank you MCC for awarding me the Best outgoing female student of College, And I'm extremely honored and feeling His grace in my life.

With a happiness of Achieving something, I feel I have really proved myself to my parents! Lord, Thank you! I'm in your hands , mould me and make me a better and a stronger woman!
